Miguel Zurita has joined Altamar as Managing Partner in order to strengthen the Investment and Business Development departments.

Miguel has over 20 years of deal making experience in Private Equity, with a particular focus in Spain, Portugal and Latin America. He has participated in numerous Private Equity investments in diverse sectors. Prior to joining Altamar Miguel, was a partner of Mercapital, a leading investor in the Spanish middle market, where on top of leading numerous investment he was actively involved in its fundraising as well as in the expansion of the firm in Latin America.

Before that Miguel was an Investment Manager in Mexcapital a pioneer in the Mexican Private Equity sector.

He has an MBA with honors from INSEAD, he is a graduate in Law and Business from ICADE, and has been Professor of Financial Management at ICADE and IEB. Miguel is president of Ascri.
